Outputs.
It is a unipolar relay for controlling the circulator (M1), energised whenever there is a
d.h.w., central heating or antifreeze request.
Circulator Relay
(K1)
It is a signal by means of which the ignition control unit can be reset either after the
overtemperature safety device trips or if there is an ignition failure.
is is done on the boiler’s control panel with the main switch (S5), putting it in the
RESET position or, if the (optional) Remote Control device is installed, on the remote
control panel (see CAR operation).
Reset
It is a unipolar relay that is energised when burner ignition is required. By means of its
contact the ignition control unit is powered.
Request Relay
(K2)
anks to this relay the motor (M) of the electric 3-way diverter valve (M3) can be powered.
It is energised with a central heating request, it remains idle with a d.h.w. request.
3-way diverter valve Relay
(K3)
It is a dc signal that controls the modulating coil and makes it possible to vary the pressure
of gas to the burner according to the output requested.
Gas valve modulator
(Y2)
It is a signal by means of which the zones control unit knows the boiler functioning mode
(d.h.w. /central heating) and, if mounted, to recognise CAR as the room thermostat of
zone 1 (see the technical data sheet for Zone Control Unit operation).
Zones control unit (CZ)
(external optional)
is is a (BUS) signal by means of which boiler temperature, operation in the d.h.w. or
central heating mode and the codes of any triggered alarms can be seen on the remote
control display.
Remote Control
(CAR) (external optional)
(see CAR operation)
Adjustments.
Central heating potentiometer (HEAT) To set the temperature of the water used for heat-
ing, from 38°C to 85°C.
Potenziom. riscald. (RISC)
Natural gas/ LP gas type
selector LPG
(S1)
Depending on the position this selector is in (Natural gas /LPG) it adapts the modulation
parameters to the type of gas for which the boiler is set.
To set the temperature of the domestic hot water, from 20°C to 60°C.
D.h.w. Potentiometer
(D.H.W.)
Central heating
timing
(S2)
Each time it turns off when the temperature is reached in the central
heating mode, a standard delay time is set equivalent to 180 s or
30 s until the next ignition for the same request.
Absent = 30 s
Present = 180 s
is is for setting the current to the gas valve modulator and, hence, gas pressure to the burner
during the ignition phase (from minimum to 2/3rds of the maximum set on the valve).
To make the adjustment the d.h.w. probe (B2) must be electrically disconnected and can
be done in the first 30 seconds of working in the central heating phase.
Soft ignition trimmer
(IGN.POW)
