CONDITION POSSIBLE CAUSE
The pulsating therapy
unit (PTU) will not turn on
The vest no longer fits
No air is pulsing into
the vest
Displayed is
unreadable or
non-responsive
Display shows error
or warning message
Power cord is not securely
inserted into the electrical
inlet on the rear panel
Power cord is not
securely inserted into
the wall outlet
Fuse is damaged
Other cause
Normal growth
Hoses are not connected
to the vest
Hoses are clogged
Air filter is clogged
Other cause
Internal problem
PTU error detected
SOLUTION
Remove power cord from
the rear panel and re-insert
Ensure power cord is fully
plugged into the wall outlet
Replace fuse with proper fuse
(see below)

Re-adjust the vest closures to
accommodate change in chest
size – if the vest still does not fit
properly, contact a RespirTech
Customer Support Representative

Connect hoses to the vest and PTU
Clean inside and outside
of the hoses, vest ports,
and PTU ports according
to maintenance guidelines
Replace air filter

2. Switch power off for 30 seconds
