1-4.2 For GSe Pro 3000 series
Installing a expansion board on the unit for expansion connection.
Note: The SAS expansion board can be only inserted into host board 2 ( which is on the right), and
you cannot insert two SAS expansion host boards.
1. Remove the controller from the enclosure.
2. For users installing a new host board, you will need to remove the screws holding the dummy
covers in place.
3. By holding onto the edges of the PCB and using the ‘’guide pin’’ for positioning, power the
expansion host board into the controller. Tighten the thumb screw to complete the installation.
Insert the controller back into the system.
4. Insert the controller slowly into the module slot. When you feel the contact resistance, use slightly
more force and then push both of the ejection levers upwards (indicated but the blue arrows) to
secure the controller into the chassis.
