Why does my Instant Pot IP-DUO80 make occasional ticking sound?
    • B
      Brian OwensSep 23, 2025
The occasional ticking or light cracking sound you hear is the normal sound of power switching and expanding pressure board in changing temperature, so there's nothing to worry about. It may also be due to a wet inner pot bottom, so wipe the inner pot bottom dry before cooking.

Why is it difficult to open the lid of my Instant Pot IP-DUO80?
    • R
      Robert EllisSep 12, 2025
It's difficult to open the lid because either pressure exists inside the cooker, or the float valve is stuck. To address this: * Use the steam release handle to reduce the internal pressure, and then open the lid after the pressure is completely released. * If the float valve is stuck, press it lightly with a pen or chopstick.
