Why does my Instant Pot IP-DUO80 display 'noPr'?
    • B
      Beth HarrisonSep 10, 2025
The 'noPr' message appears because the working pressure wasn't reached during the pre-heating cycle. If the lid is leaking steam, refer to problems 3, 4, 5, and 6 for solutions. If there are no steam leaks and you're cooking frozen food, try running the current program again.

    • B
      bonnie75Sep 9, 2025
Occasional ticking or light cracking sounds from your Instant Pot Electric Pressure Cooker are normal sounds of power switching and the expanding pressure board due to changing temperature. Also, wipe the inner pot bottom dry before cooking.

Why does my Instant Pot IP-DUO80 beep intermittently?
    • K
      Kevin CollinsSep 8, 2025
Intermittent beeping from your Instant Pot Electric Pressure Cooker indicates overheating. The cooker has reduced the heating temperature and may not reach cooking pressure. This could be due to starch deposits at the bottom of the inner pot, which have clogged heat dissipation. Stop the cooker and inspect the bottom of the inner pot.
