Bluetooth*/WiFi Module
An external Bluetooth*/WiFi module is included with Intel Desktop Board DX79SI (see
Figure 8). For module installation instructions see “Installing the WiFi/Bluetooth*
Module in Your Chassis
” on page 64.

Bluetooth Technology
The Bluetooth/WiFi module enables the user to connect with a variety of Bluetooth
enabled devices. Driver support is provided by Microsoft operating systems like
Microsoft Vista and Microsoft Windows 7. The basic Bluetooth driver stack is supplied
by Microsoft but additional features are available when you use the driver supplied
with the board.
The Bluetooth module features the following:
• CSR Bluetooth module (BC0401PC08)
• Maximum data rate of 3.0 Mb/s
• Forward and backward compatibility with Bluetooth v1.1, v1.2, v2.0, and v2.1
• Integrated antenna
• Operating system support for Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 both
32 bit and 64 bit
