Adjusting the Ribbon Break Shaft
If ribbon wrinkling occurs, you may need to adjust the alignment of
the front ribbon break shaft so that it runs parallel to the printhead
and the ribbon supply and rewind hubs.
To adjust the ribbon break shaft
Using a slotted screwdriver, carefully turn the adjustment screw:
If the ribbon tends to slide outward, turn the screw clockwise
(fw) to move the outer end of the break shaft forward.
If the ribbon tends to slide inward, turn the screw
counterclockwise (bw) to move the outer end of the break
shaft backward.
Installing Quick-Load Guides
You can use the quick-load guides to help load media from behind
the print mechanism and guide media from an external supply.
The quick-load guides are designed for media that is 40 to 60 mm
(1.57 to 2.36 in) wide.
