Whilstyouaremoving,youbrakebytransferringforceto
thehandrimwithyourhands.
WARNING!
Riskofoverturning
Ifyouengagetheparkingbrakeswhileyouare
moving,thedirectionofmovementcanbecome
uncontrollableandthewheelchairmaystop
suddenly,whichcanleadtoacollisionortoyou
fallingout.
–Neverengagetheparkingbrakeswhileyouare
moving.
WARNING!
Riskoffallingoutofthewheelchair
Ifthewheelchairisrapidlydeceleratedbyan
assistantpullingatthepushhandles,theuser
mayfalloutofthewheelchair .
–Alwaysapplytheposturebeltifpresent.
–Makesureyourassistantisqualiedin
transferringoccupiedwheelchairs.
–Operatethetwobrakessimultaneouslyanddo
nottakeslopesexceeding7°toensureperfect
controlofthewheelchairsteering.
–Alwaysusetheparkingbrakestosecurethe
wheelchairduringshortorlongstops.

1.Holdthehandrimsandpressevenlywithbothhands
untilthewheelchairstops.
Brakingwithanassistant
Withanassistant’sbrake(drumbrake)anassistantcanbrake
thewheelchairwhileitismoving.Theassistant’sbrakecan
alsobeusedasaparkingbrake.
1.Tobrake,pullthebrakeleverAonthepushhandle.
2.Topark,pullthebrakeleverrmlyuntilthesafetylever
Bengages.
3.Torelease,pullthebrakeleverandreleasethesafety
leverunderneaththebrakelever .
