5. Sensor position
5.4.7 Calculate the real detection distance
The actual detection distance Dalarm is the value to be entered on the Configuration page of the Inxpect Safety
application.
Dalarm indicates the maximum distance between the sensor and the object to be detected.
5.5 Calculation of position for sensor height > 1 m
5.5.1 Introduction
The formulas for calculating the optimum position of the sensor for sensors with installation heights greater than
1 m (3.3 ft) are reported as follows.
WARNING! Define the optimum sensor position according to the risk assessment requirements.
Note: the sensor inclination can only be downwards negative).
