6 I Testing the System
1 Check LEDs as expected :
•
Power LED is green, power is being provided to the BDE and it is
switched ON
• Status LED is amber, BDE and ADE can communicate
• Signal LED is amber or green, ISU can see satellite network
• GPS LED is green, ISU knows where it is
2 Bring up web pages, do any conguration needed.
3 Run site survey tool and retrieve results (more on this later).
4 Make a voice call from every provisioned line, if any captain’s phones if
possible check voicemail.
5 Make a data call if provisioned, i.e. bring up a web page from an
internet browser for example www.iridium.com
