Keep the test duration as short as possible: if you exceed the
above table, the test set stops automatically the test, and does
not allow to proceed for 3 minutes. If test duration is less than
the above, stop duration is proportionally reduced.
When you are satisfied with the result, press SAVE: test result is
saved. Return to zero the adjustment knob (6), and set the
Interposing module IM2000selector to position 1.
WHEN YOU DISCONNECT THE PRIMARY CABLES, PLEASE
CONSIDER THE TEST DURATION. IF IT WAS LONG,
CONNECTION VICES AND CABLE CAN BE VERY HOT: USE
PROTECTION GLOVES!
1 .1.4. CT tests : burden, secondary side
When this test is selected, the following menu is displayed.
Purpose of the test is to measure the CT burden in terms of VA.
This test is performed applying current to the CT secondary
connections (and not current to the primary side, as in the former
test), and measuring the secondary current and voltage. With this
test, it is possible to apply the nominal current to the burden,
while in the previous test this current can be less or much less,
depending upon the CT nominal primary current.
The connection diagram is the following.
