Exhaust Manifold
Removal
1. Remove the turbocharger oil feed pipe.
2. Remove the turbocharger oil drain pipe.
3. Remove the turbocharger.
Refer to “Turbocharger Removal” in this manual.
4. Remove the exhaust manifold.
Clean the sealing surfaces of the exhaust manifold.
Installation
1. Install the exhaust manifold assembly with the new
gasket to the cylinder head.
• Install the distance tube (1), plain washer (2), and
spring washer (3).
• Install the distance tube (1) and distance nut (4) to
the front stud of No. 5 cylinder (indicated by arrow
A).
Tighten the nuts to the specified torque in the order
shown in the illustration below.
Torque: 34 N·m (3.5 kgm/25 lbft)
2. Install the turbocharger assembly with the new
gasket to the exhaust manifold.
Refer to “Turbocharger Installation” in this manual.
3. Install the oil drain pipe to the turbocharger.
4. Install the oil feed pipe to the turbocharger.
