7. Install the glow plugs to the cylinder head.
Tighten the glow plugs to the specified torque.
Torque: 20 N·m (2.0 kgm/14 lbft)
8. Install the glow plug connector.
9. Install the injection nozzle holders.
1. Install the injection nozzle holders with the new
gaskets to the cylinder head.
CAUTION: Take care not to damage the injection
nozzle and gasket during nozzle holder installation.
2. Install the nozzle holder flange to the nozzle
holder bolts.
3. Temporarily tighten the nozzle holder bolts.
The bolts will be finally tightened after injection
pipe and leak off pipe installation.
10.Adjust the valve clearance.
Refer to “Valve Clearance Adjustment” in this
manual.
11.Install the rubber plugs.
1. Apply Threebond 1207B or equivalent to the
rubber plug as shown in the illustration.
2. Install the rubber plugs to the cylinder head.
NOTE: If the cylinder head is to be reinstalled, be sure to
remove, clean, and reseal the rubber plugs.
3. Apply ThreeBond 1207B or equivalent to the
rubber plug surfaces.
NOTE: Immediately (within 10 minutes of applying the
sealant) install the cylinder head cover to the cylinder
head.
