How to troubleshoot Jandy Water Pump cleaning system not working?
    • E
      Eric ReeseJul 31, 2025
If your Jandy Water Pump cleaning or circulating system isn't working correctly, start by checking and cleaning the skimmer baskets, pump basket, and other screens. Then, inspect and clean the filter as needed. Also, check and adjust the valve positions. Keep in mind that running multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously, like waterfalls, spa jets, and surface returns, might hinder the cleaning system's performance. Manually inspect the cleaning system to ensure it's adjusted per the manufacturer's guidelines.

Why are there bubbles in my Jandy Stealth SHPM basket?
    • M
      Michael SmithAug 5, 2025
If bubbles are appearing in the Jandy Water Pump basket, it's likely due to air in the system. First, check that the pool or spa water level is adequate to prevent air from being drawn into the suction piping. If the water level is normal, switch off the pump, remove the lid, and inspect the lid o-ring seat for debris or improper seal installation, either of which can cause air leaks. Clean the lid o-ring, place it on the lid, and hand-tighten the lid to create an airtight seal. Avoid using tools to tighten it. Then, turn the pump back on.

What to do if my Jandy Stealth SHPM gets hot and shuts off?
    • C
      Christina BrownAug 9, 2025
If your Jandy Water Pump gets hot and shuts off periodically, ensure there's enough space around the motor for air circulation to keep it cool. Also, have a qualified electrician inspect for loose connections and verify the voltage at the pump motor while it's running. The voltage should be within 10% of the motor's data plate rating. If it's not, contact a qualified electrician or your local power service provider.

What to do if Jandy Water Pump pressure is low but there is no air?
    • A
      ashleymyersAug 13, 2025
If there is no air in your Jandy Water Pump system but the pressure remains low, debris might be lodged in the pump impeller. To address this, first turn off the pump and switch off the circuit breaker to the pump motor. Remove the lid and basket, then inspect the inside of the pump for any debris. Remove any debris you find, then replace the basket and lid. Switch the circuit breaker back on and restart the pump to see if the problem is resolved. If the impeller remains blocked and you cannot remove the debris, you'll need to disassemble the pump to access the impeller's inlet and outlet.

How to fix Jandy Water Pump air leaks?
    • K
      Kevin EvansAug 17, 2025
If air leaks persist in your Jandy Water Pump, check the suction side piping union. While the pump is running, attempt to tighten the union. If the leak continues, turn off the pump, loosen both unions, and move the pump aside. Remove, clean, and reinstall both union o-rings. Reposition the pump and secure the union nuts. Hand-tightening should create a seal with clean o-rings. If the unions still leak, gently tighten them using tongue-and-groove pliers, being careful not to overtighten.

Why is my Jandy Stealth SHPM leaking water from the motor?
    • A
      Allison RamosAug 22, 2025
If the Jandy Water Pump is leaking water between the motor and pump body, this is due to a damaged or failed mechanical seal. Have a qualified service technician replace the seal.

What causes low pressure in Jandy Stealth SHPM with no debris?
    • J
      Jeffrey WilliamsAug 27, 2025
If there is no debris blocking the impeller and the pressure is still low in your Jandy Water Pump, it's possible that the pump impeller and diffuser are showing signs of normal wear. In this case, have a qualified service technician inspect and replace the impeller and diffuser as necessary. If the pump is part of a relatively new installation, it could be an electrical problem. Contact a qualified service technician to check for loose electrical connections and verify the voltage at the pump motor while it is in operation. The voltage must be within 10% of the motor's data plate rating. If the voltage is not within 10%, contact a qualified electrician and/or the local power service provider.
