How to troubleshoot Jandy Stealth SHPF.50 Water Pump cleaning system not working?
    • M
      Maria FieldsAug 7, 2025
To troubleshoot a Jandy Water Pump cleaning/circulating system that isn't working correctly: * Make sure skimmer baskets, the pump basket, and other screens are clean. * Clean them if needed. * Inspect the filter and clean it if necessary. * Check the positions of the valves and adjust them as needed. Keep in mind that using multiple pieces of equipment at the same time (like waterfalls, spa jets, and surface returns) might stop the cleaning system from working properly. Check the cleaning system manually to be sure it's set up as the manufacturer suggests.

Why are there bubbles in my Jandy Water Pump basket?
    • T
      Thomas McclainAug 11, 2025
If you see bubbles in the Jandy Water Pump basket, it's likely due to air in the system. First, check that the pool or spa water level is correct to prevent air from being sucked into the pipes. If the water level is fine, switch off the pump, remove the lid, and inspect the lid o-ring seat for any dirt or incorrect seal installation, as these can cause air leaks. Clean the lid o-ring, put it on the lid, and hand-tighten the lid to create a secure seal. Avoid using tools to tighten the lid. Then, turn the pump back on.

What to do if Jandy Stealth SHPF.50 Water Pump gets hot and shuts off?

      Stephanie CarterAug 15, 2025
To address a Jandy Water Pump that overheats and shuts off, make sure the motor has enough space around it for air to circulate and keep it cool. Also, have a qualified electrician check for loose connections and measure the voltage at the pump motor while it's running. The voltage should be within 10% of what's listed on the motor's data plate. If it's not, contact a qualified electrician or your local power service provider.

How to fix air leaks in Jandy Stealth SHPF.50?
    • T
      Thomas SanchezAug 20, 2025
If air leaks persist in your Jandy Water Pump, examine the suction side piping union. With the pump running, try tightening the union. If the leak continues, turn off the pump, loosen both unions, and move the pump aside. Remove, clean, and reinstall both union o-rings. Reposition the pump and hand-tighten the union nuts. If they still don't seal, gently tighten with tongue-and-groove pliers, being careful not to overtighten.

What to do if Jandy Water Pump pressure is low but no air?
    • A
      Amber HowardAug 25, 2025
If your Jandy Water Pump has low pressure without air in the system, debris might be stuck in the pump impeller. To resolve this: 1. Turn off the pump and switch off the circuit breaker. 2. Remove the lid and basket. 3. Check inside the pump for any debris and remove it. 4. Replace the basket and lid. 5. Switch on the circuit breaker and turn on the pump to see if the problem is fixed. 6. If the impeller remains blocked and you can't remove the debris using these steps, the pump will need to be disassembled to access the impeller's inlet and outlet.

Why Jandy Water Pump pressure still low after cleaning?
    • R
      rebeccafernandezAug 29, 2025
If there's no debris blocking the impeller of your Jandy Water Pump and the pressure remains low, it could be due to normal wear of the pump impeller and diffuser. In this case, have a qualified service technician inspect and replace these parts as needed. If the pump is part of a recent installation, the issue might be electrical. Contact a qualified service technician to check for loose electrical connections and verify the voltage at the pump motor while it's running. The voltage should be within 10% of the motor's data plate rating. If it's not, contact a qualified electrician or your local power service provider.
