If the water level is fine, switch off the pump, remove the lid, and inspect the lid o-ring seat for any dirt or incorrect seal installation, as these can cause air leaks. Clean the lid o-ring, put it on the lid, and hand-tighten the lid to create a secure seal. Avoid using tools to tighten the lid. Then, turn the pump back on.

If they still don't seal, gently tighten with tongue-and-groove pliers, being careful not to overtighten.
