Basting
Machine settings
q Pattern: 7 (mode 1)
w Presser foot: Darning foot P
e Thread tension: 1-3
*Feed dog: Dropped
The basting stitch is used to hold fabric layers together
during fitting.
Attaching the darning foot P
Loosen the thumbscrew and remove the foot holder.
Attach the darning foot P to the presser bar putting the pin
on the needle clamp screw.
Tighten the thumbscrew firmly with the screwdriver.

To sew:
Lower the feed dog.
Draw the both needle and bobbin thread to the back.
Depress the foot control. The machine will sew one stitch
and stop automatically.
Release the foot control.
Hold the fabric taut and slide it to where you want to sew the
next stitch.
CAUTION:
Do not pull the fabric while stitching. It may deflect the
needle causing it to break.
