JAYCO TOWABLE SECTION 8-PLUMBING SYSTEMS
NOTE: The country fill and sanitizing/ winterizing functions are performed from a group
of (4) two way valves plumbed behind the 6 in 1 utility center. There is an access panel in
the basement area of the recreation vehicle, which can be removed to operate these valves.
Included in this same access panel are (2) low point drains for hot & cold water lines and
the water pump.
Fresh Water Connection inlet:
The fresh water connection should be unplugged (i.e., the non-toxic drinking water
hose disconnected) when the recreation vehicle is unattended for any amount of time.
If something would happen to the water system, this may help limit water damage to
a smaller area.
1. If needed sanitize the water system prior to travel.
2. Water heater bypass valves should be set to NORMAL (supply valves ON,
center valve OFF)
3. Set the City Water / Tank Fill valve to the City Water (vertical) position.
4. Attach a fresh water hose to the Fresh Water Connection inlet on the panel. The
other end of the hose should be attached to a pressurized fresh water source.
5. Turn on the pressurized water to supply fresh water at all fixtures inside the
recreation vehicle. The 12V pump is not used for this feature.
6. Enter the RV and open the cold water supply faucets to bleed air from the water
lines. When the water lines are nearly full, you may experience some "air
pockets." Allow them to escape before closing the cold water supply faucets.
7. The water heater will fill first, followed by the supply lines and faucets.
8. Turn the appropriate (12-volt or 120-volt) water heater control switch ON.
To disconnect
Shut OFF the water at the external water source. Disconnect the hose from the
utility center panel.
Pressure Fill Fresh Water Tank:
1. Set the City Water / Tank Fill lever to the Tank Fill position (horizontal).
2. Attach a fresh water hose to the Fresh Water Connection inlet on the panel. The
other end of the hose should be attached to a pressurized fresh water source.
3. Turn on the pressurized water to fill the fresh water tank. The 12V pump is not
used for this feature. The (4) valves shown are not affected by the tank fill
setting on the utility center panel.
CAUTION
Never leave the recreation vehicle unattended while filling the fresh water system.
