SECTION 8-PLUMBING SYSTEMS JAYCO TOWABLE
Set the (4) valves to the siphon fill positions: (Refer to 6 in 1 Utility Center section)
• V1 is ON
• V2 is OFF
• V3 is ON
• V4 is OFF
Turn the water pump ON and vinegar solution will be drawn into the fresh water tank.
16. Continue filling the fresh water tank with of clean (potable) water. Turn the pump
OFF. Fill the fresh water tank using one of the two methods in Step 16.
17. Reset the 4 valves to the NORMAL positions. Turn the pump ON. Run water
through all faucets (hot & cold, including outside shower) until chlorine smell is
gone.
• V1 is OFF
• V2 is ON
• V3 is OFF
• V4 is ON
18. Close all faucets including outside shower. Turn pump OFF.
19. Drain the system again, but don’t drain the water heater. Water heater bypass valves
(if so equipped): leave valves A&B closed and valve C open. Do not remove water
heater drain plug.
20. Close low point drains and fresh water tank drain. Low point drains for hot and cold
water lines are located inside the basement access cover.
21. Refill the fresh water tank with clean potable water. Use either the power fill tank
method or the siphon fill tank method. (Refer to Step 16 above)
22. Remember to reset the (4) valves to the NORMAL position (if siphon fill tank was
used). Turn the pump ON. Open faucets and check that the chlorine taste is gone.
23. Drain the system one more time (See Draining the Fresh Water System) Turn water
pump OFF.
24. Remove full system canister, insert the filter, and re-attach canister to the mount. For
water heater bypass valves (if so equipped): Open valves A&B, close valve C.
25. Refill the fresh water system with clean water. When the water heater is full of water
turn the water heater power ON.
NOTE: If filling the fresh water tank with the siphon method, remember to reset
the four valves to the NORMAL positions after tank is full.
