There are 2 seals on the door.
Onesealsbetweenthedoorframeandtheinnerrebox.Thissealisattachedtothebackofthedoorframe.
The other seals the glass to the door frame under the glass. It is attached to the door frame and is sandwiched
between the glass and the door frame.
Servicing Door Seal between Door Frame and Stove Body.
To remove the ceramic rope seal start at the bottom corner adjacent to the hinge and pull the old ceramic rope
seal out of the recess. Once removed clean any old adhesive out of the recess surfaces.
To replace start at the same position and working around the frame feed the new ceramic rope seal into the
recess. Ensure that it is fully engaged. Take care not to stretch it as it is pulled around the door edge.
Retthedoorusingthereverseprocessindoorremovalsection.Checkthedoortensionasdetailedbelow.
The ceramic rope seal should be held in place with Jetmaster Seal Adhesive.
Replacing Glass and Glass Seal to Door
Thesealbetweentheglassandtheinnerdoorframecanberemovedbyrstremovingtheboltsthatholdthe
inner frame to the main door frame.
Then remove the old glass and seal and clean the surface under the glass to remove any of the old sealer
betweentheglassandthemaindoorframe.Fitthenewsealer.Ensurethatitisspreadevenlybeforettingnew
glass.
Fit the new seal that has a self adhesive backing, peel back the backing tape and attach to the glass around
the edges, touching each other at the corners so as to give a continuous seal around the edge when the glass
panelisretted.
Rettheglassbyaligningintheframe.
Rettheinnerdoorframeandnutshandtight.Finallytighteneachnutalittleatatimesoastopulltheglass
down evenly to avoid it cracking.
This will allow the metal to expand when heated to avoid cracking the glass.
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN THE BOLTS AND NUTS OR THE GLASS WILL CRACK.
