Valve and valve guide
1. Measure
Gap between valve stem and guide
After replacing the valve guide, repair the valve seat
face once more.
Out of specification
Replace valve guide
Gap between valve stem and guide =guide inside
diameter-valve stem diameter
Gap between valve stem and guide:
Intake: 0.01
0.037 mm limit value:0.08mm
Exhaust: 0.025
0.052 mm limit value:0.10mm

Pit corrosion or wear
Polish surface
Valve stem end
Mushroom shape or the diameter is more than the
other parts of the valve stem
Replace
4. Measurement
Swing tolerance (valve stem)
Swing tolerance:
less than 0.01 mm
2. Clean
Carbon deposit
(Eliminate from valve face)
Out of specification
Replace
