This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part
15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in
a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not
installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.
However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does
cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off
and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
This Class (B) digital apparatus meets all the requirements of the Canadian Interference-Causing Equipment
Regulations.

What to do if Johnson Controls Controller shows 'Internal Sensor Fail'?
    • C
      Chelsey SaundersSep 14, 2025
Order replacement units and return the affected devices to Johnson Controls under the RMA program. This is due to an internal sensor failure on the TEC.

Why does my Johnson Controls Controller show 'Supervisory Status = Offline'?
    • S
      Steven CruzSep 15, 2025
For wireless models, if the Supervisory Status is Offline, map the TEC into a JCI Supervisory system. Verify that the PAN’s WNC or WRG Gateway is online. Add ZFR182x or ZFR183x Routers/Repeaters into the wireless system. The supervisory controller is not communicating with the TEC, the TEC is not mapped to a JCI Supervisory System, or the WNC or WRG Gateway is not communicating with the TEC.

What does 'Partial Restore Complete' mean when restoring settings on my Johnson Controls Fan?
    • B
      Brian EvansSep 12, 2025
If 'Partial Restore Complete' is displayed when restoring settings on your Johnson Controls Fan, it means not all items in the backup file have been restored. This can happen if a value in the backup file is outside the acceptable minimum or maximum range. To fix this, create a backup file on a USB drive for the TEC that's showing the issue. Edit this backup file on a PC to reflect the desired settings, ensuring the modified values are within the valid range. Finally, restore the settings from this newly edited backup file on the TEC.

Why does my staged equipment cycle too fast or slow with PID on my Johnson Controls Controller?
    • M
      Ms. Angela DeleonSep 18, 2025
If the staged equipment on your Johnson Controls Controller cycles too rapidly or slowly when the PID is running, the control band around the setpoint is likely set incorrectly for your equipment, zone, or preference. Verify that the equipment's minimum on/off times are set correctly. If the default deadband doesn't provide the desired temperature control, set Temp Control Setup to Deadband Override and adjust the Deadband parameter to your preferred value.

Why does my Johnson Controls Thermostat display Partial Restore Complete?
    • A
      Amanda Peters DVMAug 27, 2025
If your thermostat displays 'Partial Restore Complete' when restoring from a backup, it means not all items in the backup file were restored. This can happen if a value is outside the acceptable range or if there are inconsistencies in a setting's reliability. To resolve: 1. Create a Backup file on a USB drive for the TEC that is showing the issue. 2. Edit the backup file created in the previous step on a PC to reflect the desired settings. 3. Verify that the modified values are within minimum and maximum range in the backup file. 4. Restore the settings from the newly edited backup file on the TEC.

Why does the equipment cycle too fast or slow on Johnson Controls TEC3000 Thermostat?
    • N
      Nicole TurnerSep 4, 2025
If the staged equipment cycles too rapidly or too slowly when the PID is running on your Johnson Controls Thermostat, it means the control band around the setpoint is determined by the minimum on/off times and is set incorrectly for the equipment, zone, or user preference. Verify that equipment minimum on/off times are set correctly. If the default deadband around the setpoint does not provide the desired temperature control, set Temp Control Setup to Deadband Override and set the Deadband parameter to the desired value.

What to do if dehumidification is unavailable on my Johnson Controls TEC3000?
    • C
      Carolyn HarmonSep 5, 2025
If your Johnson Controls Thermostat shows 'Dehum Unavailable', and the zone humidity source was a BAS, check the BAS to ensure it's online and providing the humidity reading to the TEC. If you intentionally removed the BAS mapping, reset the sensors through the menu. If the problem persists, order replacement units and return the affected devices to Johnson Controls under the RMA program.

What to do if there is an 'Internal Sensor Fail' on a Johnson Controls Controller?
    • B
      Brian AllenSep 22, 2025
If an internal sensor has failed on the TEC of your Johnson Controls Controller, order replacement units and return the affected devices to Johnson Controls under the RMA program.
