2. NAMES AND FUNCTIONS
2.1 Marine VHF (JHS-800S) and Controller (NCM-980)
The names and their functions are described below.
1. Internal loudspeaker
2. Handset connector
3. DISTRESS button
When in distress, sends a DSC distress alert after pressing for 3 seconds.
4. Color LCD display/ Touch panel
Touch the buttons on the screen for operation.
5. PWR button
To power on press this button for 1 second. And to power off
press this button and follow the menu appeared on the screen.
6. Squelch control
Adjusts squelch level.
7. Volume control
Adjusts built-in loudspeaker volume.
8. Handset
Press and hold the PTT key to talk.
9. Cradle (for handset)
