– Non-silver coated special mesh sizes
The filters come factory equipped with a sil-
ver-plated stainless-steel sieve with a mesh
size of 0.1 mm.
If desired, non-silver coated mesh sizes of
0.03 mm, 0.32 mm and 0.5 mm are available
for technical and industrial use.
Filters with special mesh sizes are not in-
cluded in the inspection according to DIN
19632 and for this reason are not allowed to
bear the DVGW mark.

Filters with mesh sizes larger than 0.1 mm
only filter correspondingly large particles
from the water. But backwashing must also
be carried out here latest after two months to
prevent germ formation.
A mesh size smaller than 0.1 mm causes
smaller particles to also be filtered out of the
water. That means that the filter can become
contaminated faster. The backwash inter-
vals should be shortened in such cases.
Carry out backwashing latest when the filter
is visibly soiled or the water pressure drops.

Non-silver coated stainless-steel
sieves are not a health risk, but
here also you must make sure that
the filter is backwashed latest eve-
ry two months as described in the
chapter “Backwashing interval”.
