1. How to check the amount of rise of the second thread tension disc
(1) Set the thread take-up lever slightly in front of the upper dead
point.
(2) Raise the presser.
(3) The standard amount of the rise of the second thread tension
disc is 0.5 to 1mm when the picker is pushed toward the
bobbin case side.
2. How to adjust the amount of rise of the second thread tension disc
<When increasing the amount of rise>
Loosen the thread tension release wire fixing screw and move
the thread tension release wire to the right.
<When decreasing the amount of rise>
Loosen the thread tension release wire fixing screw and move
the thread tension release wire to the left.
(Cautions) After adjustments, tighten the thread tension release
wire fixing screw assuredly.
o If the amount of rise of the second
thread tension disc is too small,
the needle thread length becomes
short at the time of thread trimming
and this can be a cause of thread
entanglement and needle thread
castoff errors at the beginning of
sewing.
