Network Port LEDs in WLC100 Wireless LAN Controllers
Each network port on a WLC100 has two LEDs that indicate link activity and port status.
See Figure 3 on page 8.

Table 3 on page 8 describes the Link/Activity LED.

Blinking—The port and the link are active, and there is link activity.
•
On steadily—The port and the link are active, but there is no link activity.
•
Off—The port is not active.
GreenLink/Activity
•
Blinking—The port is not functioning normally.
•
On steadily—The port is disabled.
Amber
Table 4 on page 8 describes the Status LED that indicates the status of Power over
Ethernet (PoE+).

Indicates the PoE status. The status indicators are:
•
On steadily—PoE is available on the port, a device that draws power from
the port is connected to the port, and the device is drawing power from
the port.
•
Off—PoE is not available on the port.
PoE is available only on the network ports labeled 3 and 4 on the front panel.
PoE is not available on the network ports labeled 1 and 2 on the front panel;
therefore, the LED for those ports is always unlit.
GreenStatus
PoE is available on the port, but the power drawn by the device connected
to the port exceeds the power rating of the device class that the device
belongs to.
