Requirements for Mounting WLC100 Wireless LAN Controllers on a Desk or Wall
You can mount WLC100 controllers on a desk or wall. When choosing a location, allow
at least 6 in. (15.2 cm) of clearance between the front and back of the chassis and adjacent
equipment or walls.
Ensure that the wall on which the controller is mounted is stable and can support the
controller.
If you are mounting the controller in sheetrock (wall board with a gypsum plaster core)
or in wall board not backed by wall studs, use hollow wall anchors capable of supporting
the weight of the fully loaded chassis. Insert screws into wall studs wherever possible to
provide added support for the chassis.

Rack Requirements for WLC100 Wireless LAN Controllers
You can mount WLC100 controllers on two posts of a 19-in. two-post or four-post rack
or cabinet.
Table 10 on page 22 provides the rack requirements and specifications for WLC100
controllers.
