Your Z8 has the following integrated maintenance programmes:
U
Rinsing the machine (‘Rinse’)
U
Rinsing the milk system in the dual spout
U
Cleaning the milk system in the dual spout (‘Clean the milk
system’
)
U
Changing the filter (‘Change the filter’) (only if filter is acti-
vated)
U
Cleaning the machine (‘Clean’)
U
Descaling the machine (‘Descale’)
E Clean or descale the machine, clean the milk system or change
the filter when you are prompted to do so.
E Touch
‘P’ or press the Rotary Switch to view the list of main-
tenance programmes (
‘Maintenance status’). When the bar is
completely filled with red, your Z8 will prompt you to perform
the appropriate maintenance programme.
E In the interests of hygiene, you should clean the milk system
daily when you have been preparing milk.
You can initiate the rinse operation manually at any time.
Precondition:The start screen is displayed.
T Place a receptacle under the dual spout.
T Touch
‘P’.
‘Machine settings’
T Move your finger across the display until ‘Maintenance sta-
tus’
is displayed in the centre.
T Touch
‘Maintenance status’.
‘Clean the milk system’
T Move your finger across the display until ‘Rinse’ is displayed
in the centre.
T Touch
‘Rinse’ to start the rinse operation.
‘Machine is rinsing’, ‘Milk system is being rinsed’, water
flows out of the dual spout.
The rinse stops automatically. The start screen is displayed.
