What to do if my K-Rain Controller station(s) does not come on?
    • J
      Jose HarrisonAug 11, 2025
If a station isn't running, it could be that no station run time has been set. Turn the Dial to SET STATION RUN TIMES and check the program station for run time. Alternatively, a short or open circuit may have disabled station operation. Locate and repair the SHORT/OPEN circuit. The Error Tone, LED, and Display will flash, showing the affected station(s). To temporarily clear the alarm, turn the Dial to the OFF position briefly and return the Dial to AUTO. The Controller will auto-reset after the repair has been performed.

Why does my K-Rain Controller station(s) repeat operation?
    • J
      John ChenAug 18, 2025
Station repeat operation may occur if more than one start time has been programmed. Turn the dial to PROGRAM DISPLAY and check the program(s) for additional start times. If unwanted start times are present, turn the dial to SET PROGRAM START TIMES and remove them. Also, programs stack when another program's start time occurs while another program is still running. Check all programs (A, B, and C) and start times (4 per each program).

What to do if my K-Rain PRO EX 2.0 display is partially or completely blank?
    • K
      Katherine CoxAug 23, 2025
If the display is partially or completely blank, it could be due to a loss of primary AC power. Check for a properly installed electrical installation. Alternatively, an electrical surge or strike may have damaged the electronics. Check for tripped electrical breakers or fuses and perform a controller RESET. If no permanent damage occurred, the controller will accept programming commands and function normally.

What to do if my K-Rain PRO EX 2.0 Controller display shows a station in operation but no watering occurs?
    • S
      Sheila MorrowAug 30, 2025
If the display indicates a station is running, but no watering is happening, first ensure that primary AC power is present; restore primary AC power if needed. Also, check for an open circuit in the valve solenoid or wiring that may have disabled the station. Locate and repair the open circuit. Turning ON the Open Circuit Feature will prevent station operation when the valve solenoid or wiring has disabled the station. Another possibility is that the rain sensor is active and preventing watering; place the Rain Sensor Switch in the BYPASSED position to resume operation. Finally, check if the sensor jumper is missing; if watering does not resume after bypassing the sensor, replace the jumper.

Why does my K-Rain PRO EX 2.0 Controller program not come on automatically?
    • D
      Darrell LeonNov 5, 2025
Your K-Rain Controller program may not be starting automatically because the dial is set to the OFF position; set dial to AUTO. It could also be due to no start time being set, so turn the dial to PROGRAM DISPLAY and check the program for a start time. If it's missing, turn the dial to SET PROGRAM START TIMES and enter a start time. Another reason could be that the Permanent Day Off feature is active, so change the permanent day programming if needed. Check if there is primary AC power. The issue might also be that today is not a scheduled watering day, so turn the dial to PROGRAM DISPLAY and check program Watering Days. If missing, turn the dial to SET WATERING DAYS and enter watering days if needed. Finally, an active or faulty rain sensor can prevent automatic operation; check the LCD D...
