How to fix a Kaba Simplex 506 outside lever that won't fully go into the outside lock assembly?

If the outside lever doesn't fully go inside the outside lock assembly, the lever catch might be misaligned. Insert a release tool through the small hole on the outside unit assembly (under the lever). Use the tool to gently push the lever catch up until it clicks.
