ENGINE STARTING
Never start the engine in closed or poorly ventilated spaces. Before starting the engine, check that the
clutch box is in neutral, otherwise it could damage the gearbox and/or cause an accident.
IGNITION WITH RUN
1. Insert the key into the start switch and turn it to the ON position. Press the stop switch
2. to the on position (Available on select models only).
3. Lower the choke lever, (available on some models only) You will not have to use the choke if the
engine is hot.
4. Shift into neutral using the gear pedal (available on some models), the neutral indicator should
read neutral. If your motorcycle model has standard gears, you must keep the clutch lever pressed with
your left hand before and during starting. (Before releasing the clutch lever, check that it is in neutral or
you may cause an accident).
5. Press the electric start button located on the right side of the handlebar and turn the accelerator a little
at the same time, the engine will start immediately. After a few seconds return the choke lever to its
initial position.
It is important to follow the tips mentioned below to take care of the engine's performance.
Do not press the electric start button for more than 5 consecutive seconds or it may cause the battery to
discharge rapidly.
Release the electric start button immediately after the engine starts.
Never press the electric start button when the engine is running or you will damage the starter motor.
If you cannot start the engine on the third attempt with the electric start button, you must apply the
starter pedal to avoid discharging the battery and shortening its useful life.
