CLEANING THE AIR FILTER
The air filter should be cleaned at least every 1000 km when used under normal conditions.
It will need to be cleaned more frequently when using the unit in very dusty areas.

The air filter is made of a special filter foam to stop small particles. It is essential that you take care
not to damage the filter when washing it.
1. Make sure you have the motorcycle properly placed on its center stand.
2. Loosen the screws and remove the filter cover.
3. Remove the air filter element.
4. Gently tap the filter to get rid of large impurities.
5. Apply a filter degreasing detergent and let it sit (no more than 10 min).
6. Rinse with water (do not use pressure hoses).
7. Let it dry (Do not use air guns or pressurized air).
8. Hydrate the element with filter oil and place it.
9. Secure the cover and tighten the screws.
Do not use solvents or gasoline to clean the filter. These can cause a subsequent accident or
breakdown of the element. Replace the air filter every 8000 km of driving. Driving in dusty areas will
require replacing the filter more frequently to ensure optimal engine performance. You will need to
replace it if it is damaged or broken.
