CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

Chocolate chip cookies are so popular that there are
contests for the best recipe. Wouldn't you just love to be
the judge?
Premeasure ingredient groups (stir together
ingredient Group D). Place in small bowls near Bread
Machine. All ingredients must be at room temperature.

1/2 cup butter/margarine
1/2cup granulated sugar
1/2cup dark brown sugar, packed
1 large egg
1/2teaspoon vanilla extract

cup (6 ounces) chocolate chips
cup chopped walnuts (optional)
cups unbleached all-purpose flour
teaspoon baking soda
teaspoon salt
[] Place ingredient Group A in pan. Press
SELECT for Mixing. Press START. Mix for I minute,
scraping down sides of pan with spatula if necessary.
[] Add ingredient Group B. Mix for I minute, scraping
down sides of pan if necessary.
[] Add ingredient Group C, then gradually add ingredient
Group D. Mix for I minute, scraping down sides of pan
if necessary. Press CLEAR/STOP when dough appears
to be well blended. Do not overmix.
[] Drop dough by rounded teaspoons onto greased
baking sheets. Bake in 375°F preheated oven for
9 to 11 minutes. Yield: 3 1/zdozen
PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES
Herds a recipe so peanutty, you'll think it's right from
the jar. Natural peanut butter is really dynamite in this
recipe!
Premeasure ingredient groups (stir together
ingredient Group C). Place in bowls near Bread Machine.
All ingredients must be at room temperature.

1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup dark brown sugar, packed
1 large egg
1 1/2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
[] Place ingredient Group A in pan. Press
SELECT for Mixing. Press START. Mix for I minute,
scraping down sides of pan with spatula if necessary.
[] Add ingredient Group B. Mix for I minute, scraping
down sides of pan if necessary.

Gradually add ingredient Group C. Mix for about 1
minute, scraping down sides of pan if necessary. Press
CLEAR/STOP when dough appears to be well blended.
Do not overmix.
[] Drop dough by rounded teaspoons onto greased
baking sheets. Bake in 375°F preheated oven for
10 to 12 minutes. Yield: 4 1/2dozen
