GRANOLA CRUNCHIES GRANOLA CRUNCHIES (cont'd.)
We created these cookies by using a granola recipe from
a friend who claims his homemade granola is the best in
the world.
Premeasure ingredient groups (stir together
ingredient Group D). Place in bowls near Bread Machine.
All ingredients must be at room temperature.
A 1/2cup butter/margarine
1/4 cup honey
lh cup dark molasses
1 1/2 cups dark brown sugar, packed
B 2 large eggs
1/4cup milk
C 1/2cup chopped dried cranberries or apricots
1/2cup raisins or chopped dried dates
1/2cup chopped dry roasted, unsalted peanuts
D 2 cups whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup wheat germ
E 2 cups quick-cooking oatmeal, uncooked
[] Place ingredient Group A in pan. Press
SELECT for Mixing. Press START. Mix for i minute,
scraping down sides of pan with spatula if necessary.
[] Add ingredient Group B. Mix for i minute, scraping
down sides of pan if necessary.
[] Add ingredient Group C, then gradually add ingredient
Group D. Mix for 1 minute, scraping down sides of pan
if necessary.
[] Add one-fourth of ingredient Group E every 30
seconds, scraping down sides of bowl if necessary.
Press CLEAR/STOP when dough appears to be well
blended. Do not overmix.
[] Drop dough by rounded teaspoons onto greased
baking sheets. Bake in 350°F preheated oven for 15 to
17 minutes, until lightly browned. Yield: 4 dozen
