CHOCOLATE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES HERMITS
Double chocolate cookies may mean double trouble to
some, but double delicious to others. Which fate do you
claim?
Premeasure ingredient groups (sift together
ingredient Group D). Place in bowls near Bread Machine.
All ingredients must be at room temperature.
A 1 cup butter
1 J/2 cups granulated sugar
B 2 large eggs
I teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon brewedcoffee
C 2 cups (12 ounces) chocolate chips
D 2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
i/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
[] Place ingredient Group A in pan. Press
SELECT for Mixing. Press START. Mix for I minute,
scraping down sides of pan with spatula if necessary.
[] Add ingredient Group B. Mix for I minute, scraping
down sides of pan if necessary.
[] Add ingredient Group C, then gradually add ingredient
Group D. Mix for up to 1 minute, scraping down sides
of pan if necessary. Press CLEAR/STOP when dough
appears to be well blended. Do not overmix.
[] Drop dough by rounded teaspoons onto greased
baking sheets. Bake in 350°F preheated oven 11 to 13
minutes, until lightly browned. Yield: 5 dozen
These delicious drop cookies are reminiscent of
gingerbread.

[] Place ingredient Group A in pan. Press

[] Add ingredient Group B. Mix for I minute, scraping
down sides of pan if necessary.
[] Add ingredient Group C, then gradually add ingredient
Group D. Mix for up to I minute, scraping down sides
of pan if necessary. Press CLEAR/STOP when dough
appears to be well blended. Do not overmix.
