5.3 Preparing for maintenance work
Make sure that the inlet to the lifting station is not used during maintenance.
Make sure that the lifting station cannot be switched on accidentally during maintenance work. This applies in
particular if the control unit is in a different room to the system tank.
5.4 Maintenance jobs
5.4.1 Replace battery
Perform the work described in 5.1
Open the housing cover of the control unit and replace the battery
Screw down the control unit‘s housing cover, make a potential-free connection if necessary and perform a
functional check (see 3.7.2)
Change the battery once a year
5.4.2 Cleaning the lifting station
Lower the wastewater level in the system tank to a minimum. To
do so, run the wastewater pump in manual operation (see Chapter
4.6) until the pump draws in air.
Bring the ventilation device <25A> on the backwater preventer
<25> into a horizontal position (as shown), the dammed up
wastewater can ow back from the pressure pipe into the system
tank
