How to Set Up Mapping Settings
— For setting up a USB antenna, refer to Chapter 14, “USB Antennas –
(Full Capability Requires EMF Option 358, and SA mode (Option 233
Mixed Analyzers)).”
5. Install street maps into the FieldFox. Refer to “How to Install Node.js and
Running the FieldFox Mapping Software” on page 382.
Options for downloading maps:
— Store the maps *.zip file onto USB or SD card and the FieldFox can
load from USB, SD card, or internal drive (if the maps are saved to
the FieldFox).
— Connect the FieldFox to the LAN with internet access and use the
FieldFox Mapping software to download a maps image *.zip file.
— If necessary, you can download the maps at later time
6. Using Discrete Colors softkey Menu, set the red (maximum) and blue
(minimum) values. For setting color coded bar scale preferences, refer to
Chapter 29, “System Settings,” and “Using the Discrete Colors Softkey
Menu” on page 649.
a. Press System 7
> Utilities > Mapping > Map Explorer (Get Maps)
b. Optional: Select the Red or Blue Limits to edit by using the
arrows, the rotary knob, or numeric keypad to position the trace for
optimum viewing on the FieldFox display.
Then Edit
(the color coded bar scale Red or Blue limits are at the
top of the FieldFox display).
