When setting the configuration jumpers for the desired 34934A matrix
configuration and the additional row extension and row access jumpers on the
Configuration Block, use cotton gloves while handling the individual jumpers.
Once the jumpers are set, adjust their position such that adjacent jumpers are not
in contact with one another. The figures on the following page show this
positioning.
If cotton gloves are not available when setting and positioning the jumpers, clean
the surface of the plastic jumper “housings” using a cotton cloth and 91%
isopropyl alcohol.
Handling - Expansion Cables:
To avoid degradation of the DC isolation
specification in applications involving multiple 34934A modules, the rows of the
expansion cables connecting the 34934A modules should not touch. The figures
below identify the expansion cable and cable location.
