Synchronizing Multiple Mainframes
Synchronization Operation
This function lets you accurately synchronize output turn-on sequences by letting you specify a
common delay offset, which serves as a reference point for the user-programmed turn-on delays. This
same reference point also makes it possible to connect multiple Keysight N6700C-series mainframes
together and program accurate turn-on sequences across multiple mainframes.
Note that there is no delay offset when outputs turn off. Outputs start executing their programmed
turn-off delays as soon as an output Off command is received.
Synchronizing Output Turn-On Delays
All N6700 series power modules that are installed in Keysight N6700C mainframes exhibit a minimum
delay offset that applies from the time that a command to turn on the output is received until the
output actually turns on. If you specify a user-programmed turn-on delay, this delay will be added to
the minimum delay offset, resulting in a turn-on delay that is actually longer than the one you
programmed. The minimum delay offset is shown as follows:
