3.2 Custom OFDM Measurement
3.2 Custom OFDM Measurement
Custom OFDM modulation analysis is used to analyze a user-defined custom OFDM
signal.
Measurement Commands
The following measurement commands and queries are used to configure the
measurement:
:INITiate:OFDM
Initiates a trigger cycle for the OFDM measurement, but does
not return any data. You must then use :FETC:OFDM[n]? to
retrieve data
Does not change any measurement settings
:CONFigure?
Returns the long form name of current measurement, in this
case, OFDM
:CONFigure:OFDM
Selects OFDM measurement with Meas Setup settings in
preset state – same as "Meas Preset" on page 495
:CONFigure:OFDM:NDEFault
Selects OFDM measurement without affecting settings
The following queries are used to retrieve the results:
:FETCh:OFDM?
Retrieves the data specified by n
:MEASure:OFDM
[n]?
Switches to OFDM measurement, restores default values, starts the
measurement, then retrieves the data specified by n
:READ:OFDM[n]?
Starts the measurement, then retrieves the data specified by n
The general functionality of "CONFigure" on page 2551, "INITiate" on page 2552,
"FETCh" on page 2552, "MEASure" on page 2554, and "READ" on page 2553 are
described in the section SCPI Operation and Results Query in the topic
Programming the Instrument.
Remote Command Results for Custom OFDM
For the FETCh, MEASure, and READ queries listed above, the results returned
depend on the value of n. For this measurement, the value of n is derived by
concatenating two 2-digit sub-fields: Component Carrier Index (CC) and Result
Index (RI).
Index Sub-Fields
The general formula for calculating the desired value of n is:
n = 100 * CC + RI
