3.4.3 Communications and Network Preparation
Network distribution.
Communication and Monitoring is available via the HLX+ PLUSNET. The KiloVault HLX+
PLUSNET enables multiple lithium batteries to operate as “one system” for data measure-
ment, typically with a host battery leading the data from a linked set of lithium batteries.
There is a lot more data than just voltage and current shared over the CANbus.
Each HLX+ battery comes with a terminator plug, and an RJ45 dust cover for networking
communication set-up. For battery with self-distribution feature, when 4pcs are in series or
4pcs are in parallel, there is no need for the Bridge, the rst battery can act as the Leader
Battery. See connection diagram as below:
1)Connect the COM port to the COM port between the batteries
2)Insert the resistor plug into the COM port of the last battery.

network
To connect the PLUSNET communication network you will need:
CAT5 cable with RJ45 connectors, straight wiring (not included).
One termination resistors (supplied with each HLX+ Battery).
