12 Decommissioning and disposal
12.1 Decommissioning unit
1. Switch off unit.
2. Transfer chilled goods to a new location.
3. Unplug the power plug.
4. Cut through connecting cable.
5. Remove or destroy locks.
6. Remove door.
12.2 Disposing of the unit
ENVIRONMENT!
Danger to the environment due to incorrect dis-
posal of the battery!
If the battery is disposed of separately, proceed as fol-
lows:
Do not damage, burn or short-circuit the battery.
Dispose of the battery in accordance with regional
regulations.
If in doubt, consult the local communal authority or
special disposal specialists regarding environmen-
tally friendly disposal.
ENVIRONMENT!
Danger to the environment due to incorrect dis-
posal of the unit!
If substances hazardous to the environment are han-
dled incorrectly, and especially if they are disposed of
incorrectly, this can cause serious damage to the envi-
ronment.
Do not independently remove and dispose of the
cooling machine.
If substances hazardous to the environment (refrig-
erant, for example) accidentally enter the environ-
ment, take suitable measures immediately. If in
doubt, contact the responsible communal authority
to report the damage and enquire about the meas-
ures to be taken.
Dispose of the unit in accordance with the regional
regulations for electrical and electronic units.
If in doubt, consult the local communal authority or
special disposal specialists regarding environmen-
tally friendly disposal.
