NOTICE
During cleaning work, ensure that no
fluids enter the interior of the housing.
à
Only clean the pump with a dry wiping cloth. When clean-
ing, use no solvents if possible as these can affect the
plastic parts.
à
Only use solvents during cleaning if head materials are
not corroded (ensure resistance of the material).
à
If compressed air is available, blow out the components.
8.3 Replacing the diaphragm and valve plates
Requirements
à
Disconnect the drive from the mains and ensure that it is
deenergized.
à
Allow the pump and the drive to cool.
à
Clean the pump and free the pump of hazardous materi-
als.
à
Remove the hoses/pipes from the pneumatic pump inlet
and outlet.

Information on
the procedure
Diaphragm and valve plates/seals are the only wearing parts
in the pumps. They are easy to replace.
Valve plates/seals and diaphragm should generally be re-
placed at the same time. If the diaphragm is not replaced at
the same time as the valve plates/seals, the specified output
of the pump can no longer be ensured after the maintenance
is performed.
