Scanner components
Front view The following illustration is of the Kodak i3250/i3450 Scanner. If you have a
Kodak i3200, i3300, i3400 or i3500 Scanner, you do not have a flatbed. All
components are on all scanner models unless otherwise noted.
1 Output tray extender — can be opened to accommodate documents up
to 17 inches / 43.2 cm.
2 Flatbed handle (only on the Kodak i3250/i3450 Scanners) — provides
access to the flatbed, which allows you to scan exception documents,
books, magazines, file folders, etc.
3 Gap release — turn the dial vertically to open the space between the
feed module and separation module for documents that require special
handling.
4 Input tray extender — pull this extender out to accommodate documents
longer than 11 inches / 27.94 cm.
5 Input tray— holds up to 250 documents (20 lb. / 80 g/m

) for scanning.
The input tray can be folded up when it is not in use.
NOTE: The input tray of the Kodak i3500 Scanner holds 300 documents
(20 lb. / 80 g/m
2
) for scanning.
6 Side guides — slide these guides in and out to accommodate the size of
the documents you are scanning.
7 Scroll buttons — press the Up or Down scroll buttons to scroll through
predefined functions or applications for scanning.
