films, pages 15 and 16, are made so
that the dull side must be towards
the center of the supply reel.)
Push in the reel until the spring
on the spindle snaps into position.
Unwind the matte leader strip
(about two feet) for threading.
In sert the film between the
curved guide and UPPER SPROCKET ,
making sure that the film perfora-
tions engage the teeth.
Look into the GATE and turn the
THREADING KNOB on the front of
the Kodascope until the pull-down
claws are withdrawn, permitting the film to slide easily into the GATE.
The pull-down claws are little metal prongs which engage the film
perforations
and draw the film through the GATE.
