Section 5 Scheduled Maintenance
Regular preventive maintenance ensures safe and
reliable operation and extends the life of the transfer
switch. Preventive maintenance includes periodic
testing, cleaning, inspection, and replacement of worn
or missing components.
Have maintenance or service performed by a local
authorized distributor/dealer. Maintenance and service
must comply with all applicable codes and standards.
See the Service Assistance section in this manual for
how to locate a local distributor/dealer.
The transfer switch controller Operation Manual
contains the Service Schedule and other maintenance
information. Refer to the Operation Manual shipped
with the transfer switch, or check which controller is
used on your transfer switch and see Figure 5-1 for the
Operation Manual part number.
Keep records of all maintenance or service.
