Operation Manual Expansion Module SO CM-E
1800.202B.0-01 Date: 02/2019
NOTE:
The connection is used to connect two expansion modules to set up a 2nd
row. Here the 1st SO CM-E module must be a "Dual" and the 2nd must be a
"Dual End".
4.9 Control connections (front panel)
Step Action Comment
1.
Connect connection X4 on the last axis controller SO
CM BG3 or BG4 to connection X3 on the expansion
module SO CM-E. Then connect connection X4 on the
SO CM-E to X3 on the rst axis controller SO CM BG1
or BG2, etc.
For cross-communication,
see Chapter 4.10
2.
Connect all control connections on X6 See Chapter 4.9.3
3.
Connect the connections on X6/ Exp.+/- on the supply
unit SO CM-P BG3+4 to the connections X7/Exp.+/-
on the expansion module ("internal" quick shutdown).
See Chapter
If you set up a second row, you will need one expansion
module "Dual" and one expansion module "Dual End".
See Chapter 4.11
6.
Check all connections again!
4.8 "Dual" and "Dual End" model
This version has additional terminals for the DC link and 24 V supply. Two expansion
modules (Dual and Dual End version) can be connected together using these terminals.

NOTE:
Only the pre-assembled cable is allowed to be used for the DC link connection
(X1), see Chapter A.5.2. It is not allowed to extend the DC link cable.
A standard two-core cable can be used for the 24 V control supply (X2).
