NOTE:
The climatic conditions apply to the device. For this reason they must also be
met in the switch cabinet.

1) The devices must not be installed in areas where they are exposed to continuous vibration.
Table A.4 Mechanical conditions
CAUTION! Damage to the device due to incorrect operation!
Failure to observe the ambient conditions may result in damage.
• No continuous vibration!
The expansion modules must not be installed in areas where they would be permanently
exposed to vibration.
• Switch cabinet min. IP4X as per ENISO13849-2
• Observe cooling conditions!
NOTE:
The devices are only designed for stationary use.
A.3 Power reduction at T
unom
40°C
If the multi-axis system is operated outside the specied maximum ambient temperature
(T
unom
), the output power of the axis controllers must be reduced as a function of the
higher ambient temperature; this reduction will have an effect on the current in the
DC link connections. This so-called temperature derating is used to protect parts in the
device against overheating.
NOTE:
If the output power is not reduced despite an elevated ambient tempera-
ture, the power stage will shut down due to overtemperature.

NOTE:
The derating is to be applied both to the rated currents and to the overload
currents.
NOTE:
Until the type test is completed, all technical data are only calculated values
and not assured characteristics.
