5.10 Fitting the monitoring equipment
DANGER
Incorrect monitoring of the bearing temperature
Explosion hazard!
Check the bearing temperature at the outer bearing shell using the monitoring
equipment.
Set the temperatures: alert at 80 °C, pump cut-out at 90 °C.

If available and not already fitted, fit the monitoring equipment (measuring
instruments) as follows:
Thermometer (bearings):
Insert the seal element. Screw in the thermometer.
Pressure gauge:
Insert the sealing washer and fasten the pressure gauge with a lock nut.
Oil level indicator or constant-level oiler:
Apply sealing tape or liquid seal and screw in the oil level indicator or constant-
level oiler. Any extensions, if required, are included in the scope of supply.
Resistance thermometer or thermocouple:
