▷ Allow the pump set to cool down to ambient temperature.

1. Close the shut-off element the discharge line.
2. Make sure that the minimum flow system functions properly.

Switch off the drive, making sure the rotor runs down smoothly to a standstill.

4. Close the shut-off valves in the bypass line (if any).
5. Close the shut-off valve in the inlet pipe.
6. Turn off the cooling water system when the casing temperature has dropped to
below 50 °C.
7. Close the other pipes.
Every 4 to 6 weeks
1. Start up the pump set.
2. Switch off the drive after approximately 10 minutes.
3. Make sure that the rotor runs down smoothly to a standstill.
The pump ( s e t ) is removed f r o m the system
✓ A container for collecting the fluid is on hand.

3. Switch off the drive, making sure the rotor runs down smoothly to a standstill.
4. Close the shut-off valves in the bypass line (if any).
5. Close the shut-off valve in the inlet pipe.
6. Turn off the cooling water system when the casing temperature has dropped to
below 50 °C.
7. Close the other pipes.
8. Open all drain holes and drain lines.
9. Collect the drained fluid in a suitable container and dispose of it in accordance
with the environmental regulations.
6.5.1 Preservation for standstill
Preservation for standstill is required if:
▪ The pump set is not commissioned immediately after its installation
▪ The standstill time of the pump set exceeds two weeks
▪ There is any risk of freezing
Use a preservative which fulfils the following criteria:
▪ Mixture of glycol and water, ratio 1:1
NOTE
This mixture ensures protection against freezing down to approximately - 42 °C.
✓ The pump set has been shut down.
