CONTROL LOCATIONS & FUNCTIONS
THROTTLE LEVER
The throttle lever is located below the drive selector switch on
the right side of the handlebar.
The position of the throttle lever controls engine output.
Operate the throttle lever with your thumb. Push it forward to
increases engine RPM, allowing the lever to return to its
original position decreases engine RPM.
If the throttle malfunctions it will make it difficult to control the
speed of the ATV. This could cause an accident. Verify the
throttle lever operation before you start the engine. If it does
not work smoothly, check for the cause and correct it before
riding the ATV. Consult with your KYMCO dealer if you cannot
find or resolve the problem yourself.
Throttle Lever (Speed Limit) Adjustment
Throttle lever travel may be limited by adjuster screw. The
throttle limiter permits you to adjust the ATV’s speed to match
the rider's skill and experience.
To adjust the screw, use the following procedure:
1. Loosen the locking nut
2. Turn the adjuster screw clockwise to decrease maximum
engine RPM or counterclockwise to increase maximum
engine RPM.
The distance varies by models. Refer the information below
to make the adjustment.
- 38 MPH model: Control by ECU MAP, Distance ≦17.5mm
- 30 MPH model: Distance ≦ 9.5mm
- 20 MPH model: Distance ≦ 8.5mm (preset)
3. Tighten the locking nut securely after adjustment.
The adjuster screw should not turn out more than
required distance.
